Exciting Changes for 2008!
Come and experience the newly renovated Cultural Centre and store at Serpent Mounds. This Centre has all new displays and features a new theatre for interpretive videos and movie nights.

A new playground has been built in the day use area by the Cultural Centre and is a great place for kids and families to play and relax under the shade of our trees. The playground is located next the main dayuse beach so the kids can take a swim to cool off after playing in the playground.

Great historical walking tours of the Mounds and Park area provided by our cultural interpreter. Lots of interesting facts about the history and legends of Serpent Mounds.

Our visitor center and gift shop is constantly expanding. Come and learn fascinating facts, do Native Crafts, see some very old canoes on display, and meet our famous "Rice Man"!

Guest appearances from special guests such as a Blue's singer, a drum player and a Native storyteller. Come join us around the campfire!

Our new Eco-Cabins are available for rent! These wonderful environmentally friendly cabins sleep a maximum of six people and feature solar powered lights and a composting toilet. Each of the five cabins also features a BBQ, picnic table, fire pit, and a table and four chairs. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in taking advantage of this new environmentally friendly alternative to camping as they are booking up fast for the 2008 season. They rent for $60 per night based on an occupancy of four people. Pets are only permitted with the manager's approval.

These cabins have been received well and are becoming in demand, so if you are interested in trying this unique way of enjoying the outdoors book EARLY before they are reserved for the entire summer.

The Old Railroad Stop- a great family restaurant, gas bar and convenience store. Located on the shores of beautiful Rice Lake in nearby Hiawatha. Low prices, good food and great service! Drop by and see us (by boat or car)!
